Most things are going on as normal. Number of cases seems to be pretty low. Some say Japan has dodged a bullet; it's the "low contact" culture. No hugs & handshakes. I don't "want" the worst for Japan. I'm predicting what I think is the most likely outcome at this point. I live in Japan, I hope this doesn't happen, but I think it will.

If testing numbers are low, looks at number of deaths. Still relatively low.

There is some suspicion that deaths also aren't being accounted properly (e.g. as pneumonia). It's not entirely clear. It does seem to be the case that progression is slower than in other countries, because the medical system isn't overwhelmed, but I think it's a matter of time.
