Is there a sane way of splitting English words into syllables for karaoke, or should I just flip a table? Hyphenation rules say 'un-com-fort-able', but the pronunciation is 'uhn-kuhmf-tuh-buhl'. The 'or' disappears. I have 'un-comfor-ta-ble' but...

Trying to make rules around English is going to be an exercise in identifying every edge case. For instance, I, Oklahoma dialect, don't pronounce uncomfortable that way. More like un-come-for-tubble.
Okay, what I don't get there is "tubble". Surely that's two syllables, right? Five total? In which case that doesn't work in the song so... :-)
