Well, I just tried the Android version on a test account and... It doesn't seem to actually send emails. To anywhere. It claims it sends them but then they don't arrive. And I can't find the SMTP settings anywhere. This is with the autodetected IMAP config.

Someone I know recently looked through the iOS mail apps and found all the top ones scan all your emails (written in privacy policy). It appears only http://mail.app is on device, others are cloud based and useless if email is behind a vpn.

Just use the http://mail.app that comes with your iOS. It works.

If you can accept the UX being horrible, undiscoverable, and a downgrade from the past years, then yeah, it is a great choice. It is my choice as well. And I hate it every day.
