      Employee and employer is weird relationship. It’s not a family and coworkers are not friend. Any relationship are At-Will and we can stop relationship at anytime.       Probably especially in U.S., if you don’t have that relationship, you may lost many social protections, especially for those who’re working based on visa.

      Since we're talking about Google being less than nice towards its workers, here's a fun little story from my days there. There were two things that I really didn't like about Google at the time: The Google+ saga (realnames et al), and the IP ownership policy.

      I didn't leave *because* of the IARC mess, but it was one of the things that made leaving sound like an okay idea, when I eventually did.

      My original plan was to move to the Tokyo office, but then they got rid of the team I was interested in joining... so eventually I decided I would find somewhere else to work in Tokyo :-)
