I didn't leave *because* of the IARC mess, but it was one of the things that made leaving sound like an okay idea, when I eventually did.
My original plan was to move to the Tokyo office, but then they got rid of the team I was interested in joining... so eventually I decided I would find somewhere else to work in Tokyo :-)
