Also, the routing to my @online_en server in France is much, *much* better. I get ~100mbps down, used to be terribad.
Note: this is v4 only, haven't configured v6 yet.

Seems the route here is on IIJ's own network all the way to the US, and then it goes straight from IIJ America to Level3 in France to the destination. Very nice.

I think they used to have 15GB/day upload limit but it looks like reference to that has been removed

-
Looks like the limit was removed as of last month https://www.iijmio.jp/info/iij/1567668217-977.html …

Holy... I wish I had that ping/upload. My down is fine (~300), but my ping is always above 40, and my up is 10. =/

I've used their data SIM offer for tourists (limited time SIM) when I visited Japan recently, and it worked pretty well most of the time. Residential/hotel WAN access in Japan is pretty good too, I was able to push 10-15 GB to France every night (video and photo backup).

I've been using their data SIM for residents ever since I moved here (>5y ago). It's really nice getting a v6 /64 and being able to just tether my laptop to my phone and SSH into it straight in from the internet, no nonsense.
