Around here those near ultrasound noisemakers are all over the place and it's awful. I wanna know their actual name. I think it's too scan for weapons/substances. it is especially frustrating when other people don't hear it. I use an android app to prove it to people.

They are not scanners. The Japanese ones are "Neko no sasakayi" (cat's whisper) and are sold as rodent repellers.
