Through whatever convoluted code path I can't figure out, there is no default favicon loaded for the app auth login flow page. That raises an error and returns "" for the path. "" means current page. The browser reloads the login page as a favicon. That invalidates the token.
Is there a bug report?
Never occured to me. Is there an issue on Github for that?
I can't figure out how to repro, so I'm not opening one; I suspect some complex set of initial conditions might be necessary to trigger the bad state, and it is fixed with a cache flush? Not sure.
