The horizontal orientation of monitoring speakers is to reduce vibration?

It's because the right one won't fit vertically given the shelving to its right (which is reconfigurable, but it would be wasteful to add vertical space there). Also they kind of look cool sideways.

I’m stealing a few of your ideas. Cable tying the power strip to the rack is cheap and clean! Love it. I assume, based on the other music equipment, that your chrome cast is an audio type and you sample the 3.5” stereo signal into your FocusRite or other ADC? Or am I way off?

The equipment is metallic and has earth, so the whole thing has earth just by direct contact.
