@switchroot_org Hi, I'm looking to verify some Wikipedia info saying the Switch runs FreeBSD in stock configuration. This sources to @marcan42 finding some *BSD licensing disclosures. But now that you've presumably seen more of the internals, what say you?

It does not. I never said it did. I just speculated whether it might on day 0 and for some reason a bunch of people turned it into a fact.

Ok, so now I'm looking for a reputable link saying the Switch runs Linux or a custom OS, and I'll tackle correcting Wikipedia. I'll do some searching later.

It's a custom OS. They have code from various places like FreeBSD and Android in there, but it's just bits and pieces. The core and most of the parts are custom.
