If users don't know how to flash the main (open) firmware/OS then you can just backdoor that and resell it. If you assume users can install a non-compromised OS then that will come with the right non-compromised blobs in /lib/firmware if you do it that way.
You mentioned backdoors and firmware becoming harmful as things that this somehow avoids. Please don't try to weasel your way out here, your argument makes no sense. You also claim the FSF actually audits proprietary blobs in RYF devices, which they definitely don't.
