I think it's good that it easily provides such freedom - 'my little ugly hack' vs "let's contribute".
Yeah, it's just a way of making personal patches public, which then you can choose to maintain or not, or PR or not.

Because in Github, it acts as a "copy this repo in my personal homepage" ? My pictures and diagrams directory has 360 forks (there's no code on it IIRC). I'm not aware of a single commit to any of them. https://github.com/corkami/pics/network/members …
