ah, in that case I can't say, I write all of my sound effects and music and create all my patches from scratch. it's really not hard to make though, and through nyquist abuse you can end up with the same effect, so I wouldn't be surprised if others did the same.

I mean, when I was doing it back when I was 11 I didn't know that's what it was called 
so it could be accidental with some folks. And that's not to say you did in your effect, just that abusing it could result in the same sound. I think it's pretty common.
