it sounds like nyquist frequency abuse to me?
There's no aliasing here, just a single sine wave well below Nyquist, falling in frequency and with a square LFO on the frequency. But I'm wondering if some popular synth has a preset for this, or some sample pack. I think it's too popular for everyone to just re-invent it.
ah, in that case I can't say, I write all of my sound effects and music and create all my patches from scratch. it's really not hard to make though, and through nyquist abuse you can end up with the same effect, so I wouldn't be surprised if others did the same.
