Does this sound effect have a name? I hear it in quite a few Japanese songs, or variations thereof (linear vs exponential pitch, modulating by an octave or a third, etc). It's pretty easy to recreate, but surely there's *some* name for it, right?pic.twitter.com/GQU5UkcvT5

FWIW that's this in SuperCollider: var outerEnv = http://EnvGen.kr (Env([0, 1, 0], [0.01, 2])); var freqEnv = http://EnvGen.kr (Env([8000, 400], [2])); var mod = http://LFPulse.ar (10, 0, 0.5, 1.0, 1.0); http://SinOsc.ar (mod * freqEnv, 0, 0.2) * outerEnv

Until someone finds a name for it I'm calling it 'ochitenaishi'. And if you know why you get a cookie (or a frozen mikan).

It sounds like every magical girl helper fairy thing ever. Guessing that's the name of the Precure one.
