The sad thing is to get FireWire as far as I can tell the only reasonable option is daisy-chaining two Apple adapters, FW800 -> TB2 -> TB3. (Or using a PCIe box but that's more annoying)
There was the OWC Thunderbolt 3 Dock, but it was expensive, and ism not sure if its even possible to find
No FireWire on that. And for that money I can just buy a USB version of the FireWire device I'm trying to connect.

you can plug a FireWire card into an external TB3 PCIe enclosure ;-) what are you using FW for, other system's memory DMA snooping?
FireWire audio interface. And yeah, I could use an enclosure, but that's kinda ridiculous.
