Someone tried PCIe on the Raspberry Pi 4 already. Yes, the wiring job is horrible, and yes, of course it works, as I've said many times. Go hack on PCIe already, it's easier than you think. Yeah, only things I've done are at self-generated clocks. I just assumed that they were running the data at refclk and QAM or similar, given how spectacularly I fucked up the routing and had it still work.
