@marcan42 You may be sick of these questions.... but here goes. Have a factory 9211-8i sbr or associated low level files to restore a bricked unit? I can't seem to locate these anywhere
The kernel driver is loaded, so "unbind" seems like it didn't work. Try rmmod mpt3sas?

ok so, i unloaded, lsiutil commands worked; unbind, halt, writesbr, reset, rescan.... then info gives me the same error again, and lsipci still showing as SCSI storage controller. Only diff between my cfg i built sbr from and your included 9211cfg is I added the sasaddr

Did you build the config into a binary file with sbrtool? What happens if you read your current SBR and use sbrtool to parse it into text?
