I was attempting that without much success. im about to pass out. I did build one with sbrtool and even added my sas addr as you have in the note on your github <3 but it wont let me host boot any firmware. its being dodgy, but also that motherboard has IOMUU devices
You need to disable the IOMMU (e.g. by booting with the appropriate kernel option). It won't ever work if the card is behind an IOMMU.

progress, following your unbrick instructions, but the final two steps fail with mmap bar1: Invalid argument 2am here, work in a few hrs, ill bang on this tomorrow some more, thank you so much, pretty happy i can even see this card now!

You might need to run 'unbind' first to disable the kernel driver (what sas2flash etc use).
