Incidentally, that's @FioraAeterna's hack to stop Twitter from doing JPEG compression, though I improved upon her pattern through manual trial and error. Tweaked a few pixels to make it compress even worse. Can't say I understand exactly what's going on here; I did start from a basic premise of "doing crap on the luma channel on a 1x1 grid, on the chroma channel on a 2x2 grid" but after that it was just poking random pixels.pic.twitter.com/FoB3lQR58X
