Open Source is often a dumpster. Spent the first ten years wooowing over O.S.S. the next ten vomitting. O.S.S. is not viable unless there are lot of resources dedicated to it and/or people work for free. It delivers cool projects, patches are faster but there are gaps as well.
15 years using open source, still not vomiting; meanwhile I cringe every time I need to bring up Windows 10 for something ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Not saying i love Windows 10, at all. I ran into one O.S.S. project too much abandoned, overforked etc. O.S.S. can be deceptive and dangerous. Fortunately also cool and fancy and lean.
