      Multislope ADC design. Yes, sketchy. But if fake (or not) how do you end up with different batches on the same tape/reel? I’ve seen similar weirdness before, but I don’t understand how it happens.

      You desolder them, wash them in the river, take them out and throw them in the re-reeling machine.

      Honestly if that’s the case, I’m totally fine with it. Even happy. But they don’t look like they have any residual solder on them.

      the mold flash on both of those looks like ... well, not something that would pass QA at AD so yeah i don't believe those. rub them with acetone to see if they're blacktopped? the dot's a different color than the rest

      Those two dies look the same-ish to me? If it's not a processing/photo difference then I'm guessing they're two variants/manufacturers of the same design.
