      I had a similar problem once and I considered multiplexing the whole thing: Tie all the buttons together to the interrupt, then read them individually in the interrupt vector. Not the best thing but could work. Just out of curiosity, why isn't polling an option?

      Either program the part with the 200ms delay asynchronously (state machine), or run a timer IRQ to poll the inputs?

          The problem with encoders is not only the (relatively) high frequency, but also the low duty. That makes polling a bit of a mess. I still think that aggregating all of them and poll on demand when any activates might be possible in some casespic.twitter.com/Xg8zWPSc1M
