The blue LEDs on my Monoprice HDMI switch are bright enough to cast distinct shadows on the opposite wall 10ft away, even after I voided the warranty to up the current limiters to 56K... that's been fun trying to sleep at night >_<

I actually DO want to know which input is selected, so cutting is no good. And I tried tape but it either didn't block enough or completely blocked it (electrical tape), so that didn't help either.

I've got an unpowered USB hub with blindingly bright blue LED. Thankfully, it's in a room where this doesn't matter, and I can use it instead of turning on the light at night.
