guess the use of libfaketime was to much work. :-)
Would have to run the whole X session under that, and I can see that going horribly wrong with e.g. monitor refresh rates not lining up with the fake clock.

Sometimes it feels like an emulator which has time run artificially fast would be a really useful thing for many reasons.
