I'm at a point in a project where hacking some firmware was easy, but resizing a FAT32 partition is turning out to be impossible.
Nope, making it bigger. You'd *think* it would be trivial, but fatresize exits with an error code and no message. Tried some Windows thing and it was taking forever. parted dropped support. I suspect it's nontrivial for some reason like having to make space for a bigger FAT?

Doh! I think I did that a lot of time ago using gparted, and it worked. Maybe your partition is somehow damaged?

Gparted no longer supports resizing FAT32 as of 3.0.
