Trying to hook up my old Canon 7D to my PC - turns out you need a piece of software only available on the original disc (I got this camera 7 years ago).
Even their support team doesn't have access to the download link... what? @CanonUKandIE step your game up.

I asked a friend in the UK to try the equivalent UK page ( https://www.canon.co.uk/support/consumer_products/products/cameras/digital_slr/eos_7d.aspx?type=software&language=&os=Windows%208.1%20%2832-bit%29 … which is the first result for Googling 'canon 7D downloads UK') and it worked fine ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.
The previous USA link worked too. I mean, their phone support should probably do a better job, but this wasn't rocket science to find.

Hmm, that link works for me, though, since it always auto-selected the OS, I only saw the Windows 10 options by default, which only contains the utility updater tool. Never bothered to check old OS builds.

This is a common problem with silly download pages with OS version selection. Always check older OS versions, since software is supposed to be forwards-compatible by default. Almost all companies with similar download pages mess this up.
