Is there already an established "best solution" to use @troyhunt s password hash list locally? (I.e. good compromise between data storage requirement+speed)

@marcan42 had something with bloom filtering. I think on his GitHub
This: https://gist.github.com/marcan/23e1ec416bf884dcd7f0e635ce5f2724 … I haven't imported v3 into it yet, but you can do it yourself pretty easily. Just make sure you put the filter on a ramdisk while building it, since otherwise it will take forever.

okay, contrary to my expectation it seems the bloom filter makes this significantly more efficient in space requirements. (though I have to use something that's kinda "magic" or I have to learn things :-)
