I notice this a lot! Favorite songs having considerably more or less spacing between the notes depending on dopamine levels without any apparent pitch change The world's best timestretching technique is just adjusting the brain's clock frequency, I guess

Pitch is largely mapped by the ear (the cochlea can apparently be modeled as a wavelet transform), so it makes sense that brain chemistry would only affect timing and not pitch. I have no experience with stimulants, but music definitely sounds faster to me when I'm dead tired!
