Today I found out you can rack in a Dell server upside down, and it'll work but won't lock at the front panel. Also I'm a doofus.

Today I also found out you can rack in a Dell MD1000 storage array upside down, and it'll also go in until you stare at the front panel and realize it's two for two today. I should've had dinner before going to the datacenter.

Bonus points: this one GETS STUCK when you do that and you have to release it from outside the rails, because it gets stuck too far back for the unlock buttons to be visible.

Same happened to me with an IBM rackmount server. It's still a little bent out of shape from the removal... Luckily, it's just cosmetic damage :D
