Some months ago, I complained about my washer/dryer beeping too soon, when the door can't be opened because it's still magnetically locked. Someone even decided to mansplain to me how a washing machine door works.

Today, I've ran the washing machine twice without the dryer (because it's not just my tshirts in it). And the door could be opened right at the beep. Which suggests I was onto something, and the door not being openable when the _washer_ terminates is actually a bug.

Mine beeps once it's openable either way; if drying, that means after a cool down cycle without the heater. Doing otherwise sounds dumb. Then again it's Japanese, and the beep is actually a little 8 second long song.

My mother's LG also has a jingle.. and yeah doing otherwise is silly but someone tried to mansplain to me how I was asking too much of a washing machine.
