And this connector replaces the 3.3V power pins of the SATA power connector (which I guess no drives used?) with a reset pin, DevSLP#, and Wake#/SASAct2. Oh yeah and there's a pin for splitting the 4x PCIe lanes into 2 separate ports apparently.

Ah but there's a *new* 3.3V power pin in the gap between the SATA power/data pins, apparently for SMBus, along with *another* PCIe refclk besides the one SATA Express added, for dual-port usage. Yes this thing has SMBus too, why do you ask?

USB-C only has two serdes lanes (plus one USB2 lane) to mux between stuff. This has *six*, and more sidebands and other junk than USB-C.
