      Why are you comparing your stats for "writing" to your hardware raid, but reading from your software raid?

      They are both writing. Ignore the legend, it scrolls and you aren't seeing the proper numbers.

          So why not show the proper stats? :-) Anyway, what raid controller? I get similar performance between hardware raid and software raid for raid 5 - not that anyone should use raid 5 in 2018 anyway, but well.

          Because Grafana is stupid and when you click on a stat in the legend to hide all the other stats from the graph, the list also scrolls back to the top for some reason, and I didn't notice. It's an LSI SAS3408 (Lenovo RAID 530-8i).
