I had to have the camera on 10-sec self timer mode just so it would have time to stop vibrating before the exposure. And it barely made it. And I had to stand still.

How many Macro Rings do you have?

Well they come in sets of three, and I have one dumb one and two with electrical passthrough, so that's all of them.

The mirror lock up function together with a remote will help. If you have no remote you simply have to shortcut two contacts in the terminal.

What focal length are you using? I've been able to get a lot closer with a lot fewer macro rings

300mm. This is a cheap macro zoom lens though.
