Apparently having a certain USB webcam connected will prevent @HPE servers from booting - happens on both G6 and G9 running a recent BIOS, and I'm guessing everything in between. Hangs during POST.

Of course, this isn't going to help the G6 server, because HP didn't support UEFI at all until G9 (!!).

For the server bioses, hp, dell, ibm, they're all nightmares compared to "normal" desktops. Nice to see you fix that shit! ;)

I remember 15 minute POST times on IBM servers 10 years ago.

Yeah we've just started running into these issues with Haiku. There are some PCI devices (WiFi chips so far) that time out initializing with CSM disabled but work when legacy booted. Really weird.

I remember having trouble on early HP laptops with UEFI - when Windows 7 was installed in UEFI mode, WiFi wouldn't work, but it worked fine in BIOS mode. This was solved after Intel updated WiFi drivers some time later (CSM couldn't be disabled on those though).
