Apparently having a certain USB webcam connected will prevent @HPE servers from booting - happens on both G6 and G9 running a recent BIOS, and I'm guessing everything in between. Hangs during POST.

Doesn't surprise me. An HP I have doesn't boot if there is a bad usb device descriptor. You'd think it would ignore it and let the OS handle it, but no it hangs on start instead. You also can't select a boot drive. You can only boot SATA0.

Replying to @dinsfire64 @HPE
I don't even see anything broken, maybe it just doesn't like the large-ish configuration descriptor or all those altsettings? https://mrcn.st/p/Ycr5ewyA

Potentially. It has a statically allocated size for the device descriptor and it's being overflowed.

The funny thing is it hangs at the end of POST - I can get into the BIOS setup and such just fine (using a USB keyboard), it just never actually boots. So it's not the core USB stack blowing up early...
