Yeah, they're just rather unlikely to yield fire and flames. The most I've seen one do is pop open when shorted, and I was never able to reproduce it. Usually they just warm up by at most 10-20°C or so.
If they were chunky lithium rechargeables, I was going to say: "it's all fun and games, until they cause a fire on a cargo aircraft".
