Yes, but emulating two dies just means running the same code twice. As long as you know where the second CE₁# pin hooks up, that's all you need to know. No reason to physically put it together.

I worded that poorly, I was agreeing that the behavior should be identical, but that alone doesn't guarantee something else in the system or memory mapping doesn't treat the larger packs differently so it'd be useful to build one even if you do have to resort to stacking 016s.
