      Looks like my Nexus 5X died. Again. Looks like time for some heroic last-ditch efforts (like hot air) to get the data out via ADB, otherwise I'm popping off the eMMC and dumping it that way. At least this time I have a backup of the raw dm-crypt volume key.

      Did you try the kernel hack to disable the 2 BIG cpu cores? That worked for me on my second broken 5X.

          apparently there is some kind of BGA soldering issue on the CPU, happened to @superboum as well. Putting in the freezer for a bit apparently work too.
