Beware of the mobile network standby battery drain on Oreo... I think Mi5 has it reported. (Something about the 4g modems and the way Google changed the way network connections work)

Mi 5 is really good, though. It was the best value for the price until Poco F1 came out. Can't wait until it gets LOS support so I can finally have an upgrade path.

If AOSP8/9 instead of LOS (which will arrive soon anyway) is an option, Google's Pixel 2/2XL. AFAIK, these are also the only phones which fully implement AVB2, allowing you to burn your own public keys for verifying the images and dm-veritas partitions.
