E.g. some/all of the batteries are dummies, the voltage is way too low for what they're doing, but if you look closely you can see how things are powered from the rear. And some things that look connected aren't if you look closely.

Which I think is the strongest proof that, really, it's all real. After all, if you were just going to fake it, why go through the trouble of using all these subtle but visible tricks to make the circuits carefully functional?

I remember seeing a shorter cut of this on… I think JR trains in Tokyo and Osaka back in February/March? And I went through exactly the arc you have described here. I feel like my cycle time would’ve been shorter if I wasn’t watching on random tiny screens, once or twice a day.
