E.g. some/all of the batteries are dummies, the voltage is way too low for what they're doing, but if you look closely you can see how things are powered from the rear. And some things that look connected aren't if you look closely.

Which I think is the strongest proof that, really, it's all real. After all, if you were just going to fake it, why go through the trouble of using all these subtle but visible tricks to make the circuits carefully functional?
