I tried to use an Arduino implementation. Hours of digging through the source code later because half this stuff is undocumented I'm giving up, because the design choices are fundamentally stupid and broken. Why did I even try? Seriously. Sigh.

Well, yes but it will eat a lot of current, that's why I said it wasn't optimal to use it. The best way I think is via btle transmitters. I know they aren't like the WiFi, but they do not eat current like the esp

1mA isn't "a lot of current". I don't need this to run on batteries, I just need it to not warm up 10°C above ambient.
