Random Japanese file format obfuscation no.fivebajillion: "encrypting" the 32-byte file header that contains the subsection offsets and sizes with a constant XOR pad. Rest of the file is plaintext. Subsections are marked by an obvious FOURCC anyway. Who comes up with this stuff?

Perhaps QuickBMS can extract that variant of LZSS, it supports a lot of compression algorithms including types of LZSS. Assuming this is different than Nintendo's version of it...

Wow, I think that worked. Algorithm 125 yielded output with the expected uncompressed size and it looks good. Thank you! First time I hear of QuickBMS.
