I just discovered by accident that you can invoke Kate with `kate file.c:123` and it will open file.c and go to line 123. *Very* handy!

Just tried this on geany and it works with the exact same syntax. `geany somefile.c:144` Why did nobody tell me about this feature before? vim just creates a new file called somefile.c:144

vim’s equivalent syntax is “somefile.c +144”
