Idle thought: can you build Google Chrome's `chrome` binary from Chromium source code, verbatim? Is this documented anywhere? If not, isn't this an LGPL violation, since it embeds Blink which is LGPL-licensed?

I looked at the Blink license file, and it looks like it's different per file, but is either 2-clause BSD or (3 clause BSD + LGPL). Presumably they are invoking the 3 clause BSD option for the chrome binary. No idea how ffmpeg gets a pass, though. https://chromium.googlesource.com/chromium/src/+/master/third_party/WebKit/LICENSE_FOR_ABOUT_CREDITS …

That is not correct. I'm not sure what that file intends to express, but if you actually dig through source files, there are plenty that are strictly LGPL.
