Ugh, the already ridiculously expensive IDA Pro support renewal is $90 more expensive than last year ($469 vs $379). Maybe they really do want to keep encouraging people to switch to an alternative or write their own.

the whole "license per arch" and non-extensibility to other archs is definitely a pain point. i'm still hopeful about binja...JEB also looks to have some good ideas.

I’m hopeful about RetDec, especially since it’s open source… but the one time I tried it, it was missing a lot of features, such as any way to specify data types of anything. Never tried JEB but I don’t see the point if it’s hardly any cheaper than IDA.
