I don't use my 3D printer enough these days, every time I want to print something new I end up with new software and wiped settings. And then I realize how good the defaults in @Ultimaker Cura are these days. Better than what I got with hours of hand-tweaking years ago.

I started with Cura and after a year approx, I started using Slic3r Prusa Edition. Things like "intelligent" hot-end fan management, variable layer width, etc. prevent me from going back to Cura. And it is also way faster slicing...

Which version of Cura was this? It has changed a lot, and current versions slice super fast and have lots of knobs to tweak and features to add if you want to.
