I never updated the firmware from initial install >.<
I don't use my 3D printer enough these days, every time I want to print something new I end up with new software and wiped settings. And then I realize how good the defaults in @Ultimaker Cura are these days. Better than what I got with hours of hand-tweaking years ago.

I started with Cura and after a year approx, I started using Slic3r Prusa Edition. Things like "intelligent" hot-end fan management, variable layer width, etc. prevent me from going back to Cura. And it is also way faster slicing...

Same! It took me months before I could leave my printer unattended years ago, my colleagues got one recently and it’s better then mine out of the box

Funny thing is it's the same printer for me. The software has just gotten better, and so have the default settings.
