Is it diy-doable ? DLP (DMD) based ? Is the "screen" moved thx to galvos ?

It's DLP. I don't know how they move the screen, but if I had to guess it's either DC motor based (e.g. with a cam) or using some kind of resonant linear actuator (solenoids etc).

I've never looked into DLP, so I don't know. You'd probably need to reverse engineer and replace the driver with something custom (FPGA). A standard projector won't work because you need ~1920 Hz refresh rate on the DLP to achieve what they're doing.
